Important notification to customers who are using the transfer tool to receive screen project files from the GP4000 series via Ethernet.

Thank you very much for your continuous use of Pro-face products.
We have confirmed the following symptoms when receiving screen project files from the GP4000 series via Ethernet using a forwarding tool.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Symptom Descriptions

After receiving the screen project file via Ethernet from the main unit using the transfer tool on GP-Pro EX Ver 4.09.250 or higher, the following error is display and the file cannot be opened.

 

Error Message: "The project file could not be opened. Please select a different project."

 

Symptoms occur when all of the following occurrence conditions are met.

 

  • When the screen project file is transferred to the main unit using GP-Pro EX Ver 4.09.250
  • When an image font is used for the screen project file
  • When receiving a screen project file from the main unit with a LAN cable

Measures

  1. The symptom of this problem can be solved by downloading "GP-Pro EXV4.09.300", installing it, and then transferring the screen project file to the main unit.
     
    GP-Pro EX Update Module (Ver. 4.09.300 or later)
    * Membership Registration is required.
     
     
  2. If cannot be performed, you can avoid this problem by the following method.
     
    1. Receive the screen project file from the main unit via USB using the transfer tool.
    2. Upload the screen project file from the main unit using the memory loader tool.
