Pro-face Connect GateManager and LinkManager Version 8.3. and SiteManager Embedded Installer 8.3.0.18404-5 for PS5000 series Atom Module

Thank you very much for your continuous using of Pro-face products.
We have launched the Pro-face Connect GateManager and LinkManager Version 8.3. and SiteManager Embedded Installer 8.3.0.18404-5 for PS5000 series Atom Module (PS5001B).

Objective

The Version 8.3 for GateManager and LinkManager brings the following benefits to the customer:

• LinkManager user interface is improved to become similar to that of the GateManager and improved usability.
• LinkManager 8.3 includes adaptation to a vulnerability identified by Microsoft and experienced by some Windows 10 users of the previous Link Manager 7.x

The Version 8.3 for SiteManager provides support for PS5000 series Atom Module (PS5001B) hardware with Pro-face Connect.

Feature

• Minor Cybersecurity updates for GateManager and LinkManager.
• New Hardware support for SiteManager.

For current customer

• The GateManager is automatically updated as this is a cloud service.
• The LinkManager 7.x is compatible with the GateManager 8.x, customers may continue to use the current version of the LinkManager.
• All SiteManager currently released are compatible with the GateManager.

However, it is recommended that customers update their LinkManager as new versions become available, in order to maintain the highest Cybersecurity standards.
NOTE: To update LinkManager from the earlier versions(V7.4) to 8.3, please uninstall first the LinkManager V7.4, then run the installer of LM V8.3.
