Preface
Thank you for purchasing Pro-Server EX.
"Pro-Server EX" is PC software to collect displayed data from the GPs and
measured data from the devices connected to the PC via a network (Ethernet) in
the PC and execute various processing of the collected data.

<MES Action : GP CF-card Alarm-History-File Collection>
<MES Action : GP CF-card Sampling-Data-File Collection>
- MES Action is operated when other than [yy/mm/dd] is selected
in [Date Format] in GP-Pro EX ([Alarm]-[CSV Settings]-[Date Format]) and
[CSV Date Format] ([Sampling]-[Display/Save in CSV]-[CSV Date Format]).
* It is necessary to transfer a screen project file created
with GP-Pro EX V3.12 or later.

- The feature that can import the tag with the Device/PLC [Siemens AG
SIMATIC S7 MPI Direct] is added.

- GP4000 series is supported as a node.
- Windows 7 (32-bit version and 64-bit version), Windows Server 2008 (32-bit
version and 64-bit version) and Windows Server 2008 R2 are supported.

- API functions are supported in .NET Framework Ver. 2.0.
(2) Limitations
For the limitations, refer to "Reference Manual."
(3) When Serial No. and License Key Code are not input
Pro-Studio EX, Pro-Server EX and MES Action cannot be installed.
(4) Installation and Uninstallation
4-1 Installation
- Be sure to quit all application programs and close (disable) all resident
programs such as virus detection software before installing the software.
- Install this software using a user account with Administrator privileges.
- Refer to our support site "Otasuke Pro!" (http://www.proface.com/otasuke/)
for the operating environment.
- By inserting a disk into the DVD drive, the Setup window will appear.
If the Setup window does not appear, click the [Start] button on the
desktop and then click [Run]. In the text input field, enter [D:\
ProSrvSetup.exe] and click [OK].
(As for the "D:\" part, enter your DVD drive name.)
* Some of the tools require a license.
4-2 Uninstallation
To uninstall the software, click on [Start], select [All Programs]-
[Pro-face]-[***], and execute [Uninstall]. ("***" represents the product
name and version.) Project files and files in your package files will not be
removed by this operation. Delete other tools from [Start]-[Control Panel]-
[Add or Remove Programs].
(5) User Registration
Please register your software to help us offer enhanced customer support.
Since you can confirm the registered information at anytime once you
register, you do not have to worry even if you lose it. You can register
after installation by starting Pro-Studio EX and registering from
[Help]-[Online User Registration].
(6) Manuals
To view PDF manuals, the Adobe Reader software must be installed on your
computer. Start the product and select [Manual] from the [Help (H)] menu.
To view only the manuals, select [Start]-[All Programs]-[Pro-face]-[***]
-[Manual].("***" represents the product name and version.)
Some manuals need to be downloaded from our support site "Otasuke Pro!".
(7) Fixed Defects

7-1 Pro-Server EX
<Pro-Studio EX>
- During node registration, you could not change the Port Settings of the
Device/PLC.
- During node registration, when you enabled [Link between Device Info and
Symbol Info] and specified a prx file, the Port Settings in the Device/PLC
were not imported.
- When you enabled [Input Password at Save Time], Pro-Studio EX terminated.
<DDE>
- When using the String data type, you could not read or write the specified
number of characters.
<Download from the database Action>

- If Access was not installed, you could not use files with the .mdb
extension.

- You can now access up to 32 characters in the following system variables.

- Operation may be performed even when the [Bit Showing Completion of the
Process] setting ([Trigger Condition]- [Detail Settings]- [Bit Showing
Completion of the Process]) is grayed out.
<Writes Data from CSV file Action>
- When the following conditions are satisfied, Pro-Server EX may be
terminated abnormally.
*[String] is specified for [Data Type].
*[All the Column], [From the Middle to the Last of a Column], or
[Number of readouts from the middle of a column] is specified for
[Readout Method].
<Create form using Excel Action>
- [New Sheet] in [Action when cell gets full] may not operate normally.

7-1 Pro-Server EX
<Pro-Studio EX>
- When the following conditions were met, Pro-Studio EX could not save a
network project file.
* Windows XP or lower or Windows Server 2003 or lower is used.
* OS of a language which does not include "East Asian Language" in
"Regional and Language Options" is used. The case of the default such as
English OS and European language OS is applied to this.
- When a screen project file including the extended float variables was
imported with Pro-Studio EX, an error might be generated.
<Data Access API>
- When the following conditions were met, the resource might be increased in
the client application using Data Access API.
* Windows VISTA or later, or Windows Server 2003 or later is used.
* DeleteProServerHandle is repeatedly called using Multi-Handle API.

- When install is performed with the patch installer, disk insertion of the
full installer is requested, which might disable the installation.

- In the registry of nodes:
When [Delete Device/PLC] was deleted under the condition that two or more
Device/PLCs with tag data specified were registered, other Device/PLSs
tag data than the target might be deleted.
<Pro-Server EX>
- When the Service function was changed to enabled in Pro-Studio EX and
then Pro-Server EX was started:
An error message might be displayed after the time-out of 2 minutes
and 30 seconds was elapsed.
<Data Transfer>
- When a communication error of the Device/PLC occurs under the condition
that Data Transfer is used in a node where two or more Device/PLCs are
used, Data Transfer of the Device/PLC which communicates normally may be
delayed.
<Create form using Excel Action>
- When an action area dialog was closed under the condition that the line
height in Excel is a specific value, an error might occur.

- When [Insert Sample] is executed while Excel is in the design mode, Excel

remain in the output file.
- When the same template file is edited from Pro-Studio EX as the one
opened with Excel, Pro-Studio EX operation may be disabled.
- A node type may be changed to [GP Series] in the [Log Data Upload] screen.

the last access stops polling] may be enabled.
<Print>
- Data in the Excel format may not be printed depending on the OS language
settings.
<Factory Gateway Configuration Tool>
- When an IP address of GP3000 series, WinGP and LT3000 is specified
using [Search for IP], the Factory Gateway Configuration Tool is
abnormally terminated.

- When "9999999999" is input for the station number in Device/PLC settings
and [OK] is clicked, the screen editor is terminated abnormally.
