(2) Limitations 2-1 Editor - If you use many image fonts, it may take longer to open projects, change registered characters for the image font, and edit text. - #H_ScanOffControl does not appear in the Address and Cross Reference windows. - When the screen editor language setting and the font set do not match, pasting of parts may not work with the Cut and Paste commands. When that happens, use the Copy and Paste commands. - If you use the version reverter on a project set up with a sampling group associated with consecutive addresses and sampling words of 2 or more, the project may not be converted or the sampling settings may be deleted. - If you draw an XY Historical Trend Graph or XY Data Block Graph on base screen 9000 or higher, the graph display area will not appear on the display unit nor in simulation. - Comparison result of [Device/PLC settings] may appear as "Different" though project files have same [Device/PLC] Settings. - If you run the Project Converter on a project set up with a Text Table, sometimes the resulting project cannot be compared. - If you compare projects where symbol variables were added in a different order, sometimes the comparison will show differences in the symbol variable settings. - When you convert GP-PRO/PBIII projects with the orientation set to portrait, the size of images loaded via Call Screen will change. Convert only after changing the project's orientation to landscape in GP-PRO/PBIII. 2-2 Display Unit (Runtime) - When a USB device is inserted/removed, all USB devices may not become disabled under the condition that five or more USB devices are connected at the same time using the USB HUB in GP4000 series. If this phenomenon occurs, reset the Display. - When two or more Data Displays with "Indirect" specified are made to be invisible at the same time while displaying a pop-up keypad, some Data Display may not be invisible. - A keypad is closed while the [Alt] key on the keypad of the RPA Window Display is held down. When the keypad is opened next time, the [Alt] key remains held down. - Do not use a logic program during communication with a Device/PLC using a USB/SIO (RS422/485). If the logic program is used in the situation, a communication error may occur. - If you set an integer operand for an OUT instruction, and you use the online monitor to forcibly pass power, logic may not operate properly. - In GP4000 series (except for GP4100 series) and LT4000 series, the buzzer sound in Ver. 3.5 is different from that in Ver. lower than 3.5. - While logic is stopped on the GP-4G01, if you press and hold down both the [USB1] and [SD] removal switches at the same time, the [PWR] LED lights start flashing irregularly. - Do not attach/detach the fingerprint authentication unit while turning on the power to the Display. Doing so, inconsistency occurs between the security data and the fingerprint data and the display of the authentication and the password setting may not operate normally. If an inconsistency occurs between them due to attachment/detachment of the fingerprint authentication unit, update the fingerprint data of the fingerprint authentication unit using the "Update DB" function. - Do not attach/detach the transfer cable while transferring to the SP5000 Series Open Box (SP-5B40). Even if the cable is detached, the unit will not detect an error. - On the Power Box(SP-5B10) of the SP5000 series, In the case of forced transfer mode, you cannot transfer using LAN2. - If the project is large and many functions are set up, the display unit may restart repeatedly after transfer. - Compared to other series, the buzzer for the Open Box's (SP-5B40) Bit Momentary switch sounds different. - The Windows task bar flickers if you continually trigger the system menu's display operation (simultaneously touch the top-right and bottom-left corners) on the SP5000 series Open Box (SP-5B40). - On models that support 2-point touch, while the first touch is initiated and you work with the system menu, system menu operations may not work. Display the system menu again and menu operations become available. - On the SP5000 series Open Box (SP-5B40), even though there are no devices connected, in the offline menu, the Peripheral Settings screen's USB Screen shows USB equipment. - On the GP4200 Series, GP4300 Series, and LT4000 Series, you cannot edit Web Server settings offline. - With the SP5000 Series Power Box (SP-5B10) and WinGP, do not touch the top-right or top-left corners while starting up. While normally this would take you to offline mode, there are certain circumstances when this will not work. - On the GP-4100 Series (Color Model), if you download the different CML file in a row without ending the memory loader, SRAM may be initialized after restarting the display unit. - When the [Compress] check box is selected, transparency may not display properly. - Search results may not display if you use system variables to search for a recipe, while deleting a recipe in an Enhanced Recipe List part. When this occurs, reset the display unit. - When there are a large number of recipes, importing recipes may take considerably longer than it did in Ver.4.6.10. - On the display unit, you can add enhanced recipe data to a project even if it exceeds 100% of its maximum transfer size. On the editor, if you use the Receive Project command to get the project from the display unit, you may not be able to transfer the project back to the display unit due to a transfer size error. - If you set up a variable with less than 32 words as the label's destination address, the enhanced recipe may not work properly. - When [Display Unit] - [Operation] - [Output to External Buzzer Terminal] is enabled on the GP3300H or GP4000H series, the GP3000H conversion adapter emits the external buzzer for the following operations from the maintenance menu. - Check Pattern - Check Touch Panel - Calibrate Touch Panel - Check COM1/COM2/LAN - Memory Info - Check Function Switch - When the operation switch is enabled on the GP4000H series, only monitoring is possible from the client. The client cannot perform any operations. - Occasionally the File Manager does not sort its operation log's output files in file creation order. - In the destination, if you specify a FTP server with PASV disabled, file write may fail and a 0-byte sized file may be created in the destination folder. - When using GP4000M or LT4000M Series, restarting the display unit will erase the Japanese FEP information. - When communicating at high speed (115.2 kbps) with PLC which has good communication performance, sometimes a communication error occurs on the HOST side. - With SiteManager Embedded V6121 17033, the Transfer Tool, GP-Viewer EX and Pro-Server may not be able to automatically detect display units. - With SiteManager Embedded V6121 17033, you can use only ASCII text for the Proxy Password. - With SiteManager Embedded V6121 17033, in the offline screen's Site Manager Embedded settings, when the LAN cable is disconnected from the display unit, a maximum 180 seconds may elapse before the status display shows as disconnected. To change the time it takes before the status display is updated, change the GateManager's Heartbeat Interval and Keep-Alive Interval values. Additionally, set the Heartbeat Interval so that it is greater than the Keep-Alive Interval. - When connecting multiple SiteManager Extend and LinkManager to an Open Box set up with SiteManager, Pro-Server EX may not operate properly on some of the LinkManager. - Sending or receiving large projects via LinkManager fails sometimes. - If LinkManager is already installed and you install LinkManager again, sometimes the existing shortcut is not deleted and results in duplicate shortcuts. - If you forcibly transfer via Link Manager a project to a display unit set up as the agent of Site Manager Extend, the transfer operation sometimes fails. - Turning on the display unit with the SD card inserted, it may take a few seconds longer to show the initial screen. 2-3 Device/PLC - In Pro-Server EX's Device Monitor function when a Multiple Bit Write operation is performed on an array type Tag it may not write correctly. - When single bit write operation is performed on a 32-bit Tag(DINT), the 16th bit cannot be written. - When a Copy / Paste operation which results in the maximum number of Tags being exceeded no error is displayed. - When several Tag Data Files are created, the maximum number of Tags may not be checked correctly. - In Pro-Server EX's Device Monitor function the Multiple Bit Write operation may not work in some cases. - Do not use "Indirect" setting for the String type. If it is specified, data may not be displayed normally. - When STRING variables are displayed in Device Monitor of Pro-Server EX, only two characters are displayed. - Some spelling mistakes are found in English error messages. - If an error occurs during communication, set "1" or larger value for Retry Count. - When a bit device is specified in Alarm Summary, alarms of 17th bit or later are not displayed normally. If this phenomenon occurs, use the word device. - When the link parameter device is read, the communication cycle time becomes an illegal value. - In a screen where a Display Unit does not communicate with a PLC: When an access is made to the PLC using the pass-through function after the PLC is restarted, the password lock occurs to the PLC. Make connections using the pass-through function after the screen is shifted to the one where the Display Unit communicates with the PLC. - Do not write the data including the bit address with the extended recipe function. If such writing is made, a communication error may occur. - Do not input 32 or more characters for the device address in Address Input of Device Monitor. - Tag information allocated to I/O units may not be imported normally. If this phenomenon occurs, edit the data with the Editor manually. - When bit read/write for two or more points is performed to a bit-accessible word device or word type tag, an address other than the specified address may be read/written. - Note the following limitations when Gateway Mode on the GP-4G01: - If the GP-4G01 has never run communication at all and the HMI starts communication, a response error occurs once on the HMI. After a re-transmission, the error is restored. - If you enter the GP-4G01 offline screen then change back to the online screen, a response error occurs on the HMI, and recovery may take about a minute. - The pass-through function cannot be used when WinGP and IIS FTP servers are used at the same time. 2-4 WinGP - The buzzer of WinGP does not sound in PS-4700 (Z510). - When the File Manager displays a folder path and data in that folder is updated, the folder path reverts to the default path. - The system load status or wireless communication status may prevent the application from disconnecting within the time specified by the property: Disconnect after communication is down for. - When using the USB transfer cable (CA3-USBCB-01) to get display unit information, the screen list may not be available. You can add a base screen to make the screen list visible. - With backup sampling data enabled, if you set the Historical Trend Graph's Display Historical Data switch ON from GP-Viewer EX, an error could arise. 2-5 Pro-face Remote HMI Server - In Windows 8 / 8.1 / 10, application distribution fails to correctly display distributed screens of Excel 2013 on the client. To distribute Excel 2013 screens, use desktop distribution. (3) When Serial No. and License Key Code are not input - Project data cannot be transferred to the operation panels (except for GP4100 series, IPCs and PC-ATs (Used WinGP)). - Transfer using the Transfer Tool is not available for WinGP. If you uninstall Remote HMI Server then re-install without restarting your computer, installation could fail. - If you ran a software update while Pro-face Remote HMI Server is running, installation could fail. 7-2 Editor - When the display unit was set up with a Send/Receive project password and on connection you entered the wrong password, when the password screen opened again an error message appeared. - When checking the Memory Loader backup data or creating a new project, the file selection screen's file pulldown list contracted right away. 7-3 Display Unit - WinGP failed to start on computers with the Multilingual User Interface (MUI) pack installed. - In Forced Transfer mode, on exiting WinGP a dialog box appeared with corrupted characters in the title bar. - If you set an invalid value other than a BCD value for the clock data, the clock did not show the time correctly. - When the device/PLC communication scan was OFF, an error appeared when accessing the PLC. - When the transmission speed was 115,200 bps, the USB-Serial (RS-232C) conversion cable could not be recognized. - Sometimes sampled data could not be collected anymore if you detached external storage from the unit while saving sampled data to CSV format. - While an FTP server was not added in the FTP server settings and you captured a screen and tried saving to an FTP server, you could not enter offline mode or transfer mode anymore. - If you set an invalid value for the Device View's Update Frequency parameter from an URL, the device value did not update or an error occurred. - After setting the label's destination address in the screen editor, if you change the destination address by using either Change Device/PLC or Convert Address, sometimes the recipe label did not display. - Entering offline mode while running one of the following processes sometimes caused the corresponding operation to not run: - [Save] in the Save GP Screen tool - [GP JPEG Upload] action - Excel form action's [Upload GP screen data] - When an online error and system error occur at the same time, sometime touch did not work and the error window's reset button would not operate. - There was an issue where system errors did not display on the GP-4201TM (Modular Type) and GP-4301TM (Modular Type). 7-4 Device/PLC - The use of Ethernet 2 port functionality by SP5000 series (SP-5B10) could result in communication errors. - Cannot launch HMI if project file imported several Tag data in some case. = V4.06.300 =================================================================== 7-1 Editor - In simulation, when monitoring the logic, the display position of I/O values may shift sometimes. - When comparing projects with the [Show only differences] option, double-clicking the difference sometimes displayed the wrong line. - Addressed the feature in our software that caused some antivirus software to erroneously identify as a virus. 7-2 Display Unit - When using GP4000H (hand-held) Series and you connect to multiple USB hubs and USB devices, the display unit sometimes reset on disconnecting an USB device. - Turning ON #H_RecipeControlMapAddress occasionally generated a system error. - The wrong warning message appeared when drawing an alarm part with banner enabled and a part with animation enabled on the same screen. - When using SP5000 or GP4000 Series (except GP-4100 Series), using a read-only SD card sometimes slowed the performance of operation logs. - When using SP5000 or GP4000 Series with USB 2.0 USB memory, the Memory Loader sometimes failed. - Memory Loader could not start under the following conditions. - Display unit's system version was 4.50.000 or later - Startup data for the Memory Loader was created on version before 4.50.000. - When using GP3000 and LT3000 Series units, the wrong value was set to #L_FaultLogicScreen and #L_FaultStep. - When using SP5000 Series Open Box (SP-5B40) and while WinGP was restarting after a transfer, or on exiting WinGP, the EZ Tower Light sometimes buzzed and all the layers turned red and flashed. - When using the Load Text Table feature with codepage 850, sometimes the text did not display properly. 7-3 Device/PLC - Grouped Data blocks and PLC tags cannot be imported. - Transfer error is happened if user configured assembly instance over 256. - Individual Device Settings in Beckoff TwinCAT driver sometimes shows wrong settings. = V4.06.200 =================================================================== 7-1 Editor - In the Text Table Settings, when the value in the Change Language control address is out of range (17 or greater), editing the label in an extended recipe could cause simulation to exit unexpectedly. - Using unregistered variables in the function block of a logic program occasionally caused simulation to exit unexpectedly. - Occasionally simulation stopped working when you assigned a fractional value to a Float or Real data type variable. 7-2 Display Unit - Occasionally this tool was unable to copy projects associated with PS-5000 or PS/PE-4000 models to WinGP. - Occasionally, the SP500 Series Power Box (SP-5B10) did not communicate properly over the COM port. -
