Contents of Driver -------------------------------------------------- This driver consists of the following files: 1) EPERLJ.dll： The printer driver. 2) EPERL.exe： The printer driver. 3) EPSTME1.dll：The printer status monitor. 4) EPPORTE1.dll：The printer port monitor. 5) EPUJCEE1.exe：The printer utility. 6) EPUJNZE1.dll：The printer utility. 7) EPUJCLE1.dll：The printer utility. 8) EPUJSTE1.dll：The printer utility. 9) EPUSBCP.dll：The USB printer class driver. 10) EPUSBST.dll：The USB driver. 11) EPERLJRM.txt：The Japanese readme file. 12) EPERLERM.txt：The English readme file. -------------------------------------------------- 4. Installation -------------------------------------------------- 1) Copy the cabinet (.cab) file to any location on the target device. 2) Install the driver by tapping twice on the .cab file. This will raise the "Install EPSON Ink Jet Printer" dialog box. Select OK. 3) If a previous version of the driver has already been installed, a dialog box confirming the replacement of files will appear. Select OK. Note : The above messages may be different depending on the locale setting of the target device. -------------------------------------------------- 5. Application Notes -------------------------------------------------- 1) This release supports only Japanese and English. 2) Please refer to the readme file (.txt) for directions on how to use the printer driver. 3) If there is insufficient memory, printing may not function properly. It may be possible to print by adjusting the storage/program memory space settings, or by increasing the memory capacity by adding an external memory card. 4) Memory usage can be reduced by changing the bits per pixel (BPP) format of the input bitmap. This driver supports 8, 16, and 24 BPP. The default is 24 BPP. It is possible to change the BPP format by changing the registry as follows: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Printers\EPSON Ink Jet] "BPP"= Set the value as DWORD 8BPP ：decimal = 8 , hexadecimal = 8 16BPP ：decimal = 16, hexadecimal = 10 24BPP ：Any values except the values for 8BPP and 16BPP. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6. Release History ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2004/10 Ver.3.31.1b - Fixed the following bug from Ver.3.31.1a: When UISuppress = 1 and a printer is connected to the parallel port of the target device, the select printer dialog will appear. - All supported printers are now listed regardless of the locale setting of the target device. 2004/10 Ver.3.31.1a - A new feature was added to suppress the select printer dialog box. The registry setting to suppress the dialog box is as follows: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Printers\EPSON Ink Jet] "UISuppress"= Set the value as DWORD Suppress Dialog Box ：decimal = 1 , hexadecimal = 1 Display Dialog Box ：Any value but 1.
