1) Signal System
NTSC and PAL systems cannot be applied at the same time.
2) Screen Processing Capability
The GP3000-VM01 unit's colors that can be displayed at one time has been increased to approx. 260000 colors. Moreover, the GP3000-VM01 unit has better screen processing capability, and it delivers more vivid and smoother video if you compare the same video input signal between the VM2000 and VM3000 units.
3) Termination Resistance
The GP3000-VM01 unit allows you to add 75 Ω of termination resistance to each VIDEO IN (video input connector). In case of daisy chain connection, you can prevent from signal deteriorating by switching on the termination connector.
4) Input Interface
The PC input/output interfaces on the GP3000-VM01 unit are DVI-I female.
Those on the GP2000-VM41 unit are D-Sub 15-pin female.
The pin out and the shape of the connector are different, and the RGB cable, FP-CV00, FP-CV01, etc. are not available on the GP3000-VM01 unit. Please prepare a cable (CA7-CBLCVRGB-01) to convert from DVI to RGB. Or for the digital video input/output, prepare a DVI cable (FP-DV01-50 or FP-DV01-100).
5) Input/Output Resolution
The GP3000-VM01 unit supports XGA (1024 x 768) for the resolution of PC input/output.
(To output at a resolution of XGA, GP-3750T is required.)
6) Screen Creation Software
The GP3000-VM01 unit is compatible with the screen creation software GP-Pro EX Ver. 2.21 or above.
If the version of GP-Pro EX that you currenly use is higher than 2.0 and lower than 2.5, you can upgrade the version from the following website for free.

7) Video Window Control Mode
The GP3000-VM01 unit supports only the settings relating with the Expand mode, which is one of the video window control modes (GP-570VM Standard mode and Expand mode) that GP2000-VM41 has.
If you have applied the GP-570VM Standard mode with a combination of the GP2000/77R/70 series and the GP2000-VM41 unit, the Standard mode and the related settings such as V Tag will be deleted.

8) Emulate Touch Output Feature
This feature allows you to output touch coordinates to a PC using serial communication. To use the PC mouse cursor to emulate touches on the GP unit, install the Mouse Emulation software on the PC so it can receive touch information sent from the GP unit.

- DVI-I cable or DVI-RGB conversion cable
- Serial cable (crossing, commercially available)
9) Large-Sized Touch Panel Application
The GP3000-VM01 unit is applicable to a 15-inch touch panel in the GP-3700 series so that you can make full use of video input/output of XGA.
10) Length of Input/Output Cable
For connection of the GP3000-VM01 unit with the PL-3000B or PS2000B unit, the DVI-D cable FP-DV01-100 (10m) can be used. In an environment other than above, we recommend you to set up units with FP-DV01-50 (5m).
