Symptom descriptions
On Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry (WE8.1) on PS5000 Series, system will hibernate automatically after 180 minutes if there is no running application or any operation. While the system is in a hibernation mode, most of the functions such as communications are disabled until the system recovers from the mode.
This symptom appears because the function of moving to the ‘Hibernation’ mode is enabled in the ‘Sleep’ settings of “Power Options”.

You can follow below steps to disable the setting.

- Open “Control Panel” and click “Hardware and Sound”.
- Click “Power Options”.
- Click “Choose when to turn off the display”.
- Click “Change advanced power settings”.
- Under “Sleep → Hibernate after”, please change the value to 0, and click OK to finish.
- After that, the value changes to “Never”.
