In the SP5000 Series suitable for manufacturing floors where information processing has been highly developed, CANOpen Master Unit and FLEXNETWORK Master Unit that can expand multiple-point IO with less-cabling I/O units have joined. They are option units for SP5000 Series Power Box. They allow SP5000 Series to expand the I/O feature. Using the option unit makes possible equipment that requires simple control + HMI, additional I/O expansion, and remote I/O expansion. With them, we can now provide HMI with high-performance remote I/O feature installed, which no other company has.
Cost reduction by downsizing equipment for water disposal or food processing which does not require synchronizing control or high-speed control has been realized for equipment manufacturers. And using the option unit allows you to additionally install optional features without changing the PLC configuration of the original equipment.
