Founded in 1956, China Classification Society (CCS) is the only professional organization in China to provide classification services. CCS targets to provide services for the shipping, shipbuilding, offshore development and related manufacturing industries and maritime insurance. It provides legal services to ships and offshore facilities, for the safeguarding of the safety of life and property at sea and for the prevention of contamination to the oceanic environment.
