Osaka, Japan — November 28, 2014 — Pro-face, the global leader in Human Machine Interface (HMI) and factory data communication solutions is pleased to announce that it has begun selling its remote monitoring software "Pro-face Remote HMI" Ver. 1.41 on November 28, 2014 with improved connections for multiple smartphones and tablets and an enhanced alarm notification function. This product has been provided to customers who have already purchased "Pro-face Remote HMI" at no charge.
Pro-face Remote HMI is software that allows users to remotely monitor and operate display device screens at manufacturing sites. In addition to accumulating and displaying information about the production status and alarm occurrence status, the display devices we sell are an interface for performing operations to control equipment from on the screen. In order to be able to meet the needs of users who want to remotely monitor and operate display devices at production worksites using tablets and smartphones, we started selling Pro-face Remote HMI in February 2013, and it has been positively received ever since. Pro-face Remote HMI has already reached over 10,000 downloads on its application distribution sites (App Store and Google Play), and now for a limited time until December 25, 2014, we are offering an 80% discount campaign to celebrate 10,000 downloads (App Store and Google Play).
With this version upgrade, we have achieved an improvement in multiple simultaneous connections and enhanced the alarm notification function, both of which had been highly requested by our customers. Our customers have needs where users with different roles at the manufacturing site, such as the operator, manager, and service personnel, want to check different information. Since multiple users can simultaneously monitor and operate the screen on the display device, this version upgrade can be useful for making work more efficient when users can monitor and operate the screen at anytime and anywhere when they want to check something. The alarm notification function has also been enhanced so that users are now able to quickly check the screen when errors occur on multiple pieces of equipment. Product Features of Pro-face Remote HMI
- Capable of monitoring and checking a display device screen at a manufacturing site on an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and a smartphone or tablet running Android OS.
- A maximum of 100 display devices can be registered.
- Offers synchronous mode, where the same screen as the on-site display device is shown, and asynchronous mode, where different screens are shown.
- Offers a function that takes possession of the touch operations for a number of seconds on the display device side and the smartphone/tablet side to prevent erroneous operation.
