UL (Underwriters Laboratories Inc.)

ul_logo_01.gif

UL is a non-profit examination institution which was established by U.S. Association of Fire Underwriters in 1894. Although it is voluntary to get UL-approval, a lot of electronic products, electric parts or resin material are UL-approved. UL certification is evaluated based on UL standards, and generally there is a listing mark for finished products and a recognized component mark for parts or material.

Notice
Digital Electronics Corporation will not update UL certification for certain models because UL1604, UL Hazardous Location standards, will be abolished on July 31, 2012. See the following chart about the UL certification status of the products which are subject to change. In addition, the UL standard mark on products manufactured before July 31, 2012 will be effective after Aug. 1, 2012. There is no change for other products.
